ipms ON THE SKIDS28 Jul 2006 04:12 GMT9
Looks like the IPMS is gonna have to tap into more than the Make & Take
fund to keep afloat!
I bet they will need to tap into that Bond used to insure themselves.
Soon they will announce the end.
Planes,Trians & Cars28 Jul 2006 03:01 GMT3
This is what this group consists of mainly, nothing wrong with
that, modeling goes to all ''4 corners of the circle'' if you will.I
find it diffucult to believe the military section sells the most from
all the other modelling subjects.Well that'a my 2 cents worth of imput
F-86 crash27 Jul 2006 22:00 GMT23
Here is a link to the story. Pilot was Wyatt Fuller a great guy and one who
was always willing to let a modeler crawl all around his planes for photos.
Blue skies forever,Wyatt!

Attaching drill chuck to arbor27 Jul 2006 21:04 GMT2
What's the correct way to attach a drill chuck to an arbor? The chuck in
question is a small one, 0.3-6mm capacity, with a JT1 taper for the arbor.
Do I do something involving tapping with a hammer, or some sort of press?
Lifting a Colchester Master 250027 Jul 2006 17:48 GMT3
What's the best way to lift a Master 2500 onto a low trailer. I was
thinking of using 2 engine hoists with a RSJ between them. I'd suspend
straps from the RSJ down to the lathe. Does anybody know what the
factory approved method is?
Accurate Miniatures/Italeri Avenger 1/48.27 Jul 2006 15:46 GMT5
On the strength of reviews of the Accurate Miniatures Avenger and having
built the Accurate Miniatures IL-2, I managed to get hold of an Italeri
Avenger, (two actually).  My memory of the IL-2 kit was that the fun and
interest of building it was in no small measure due to the ...
Oldham couplings etc27 Jul 2006 11:35 GMT4
Where's a good place to get oldham couplings for stepper conversions?
I know that RS do them but if you don't have an account and/or buy a
lot  RS ends up being very expensive for small orders.
Also does anyone have a view on the cheap steppers that are available
Japanese WW2 interior color27 Jul 2006 07:32 GMT15
I'm looking for the proper color for the interior of WW2 Japanese aircraft.
Actually, I'm looking for an equivalent (or closely equivalent) color in the
Tamiya Acrylic line, since my local shop only carries acrylic in the Tamiya
line (I prefer acrylic, both for personal and for ...
Another Movie Question27 Jul 2006 04:48 GMT23
Has anyone ever seen the Movie "Sailor of The King" aka "Single-handed"?
Jeffrey Hunter plays a British seaman from a ship sunk by a German surface
raider. It is damaged in a surface action, and he escapes to the island it
has anchored at to effect repairs. He snipes at the ...

makes sense to license model stuff. some has potential abuse
possibilities by terrorists. like watching the rocket guys.
most of them are just eccentric, (did you see the flying
port-a-poo?) but the potential is there.
aluminium27 Jul 2006 00:07 GMT14
If I ran water from an aluminium water wheel to a pond with fish in would
there be a problem.
Copper Boiler Repair - help needed26 Jul 2006 12:55 GMT3
I have an Elidir (narrow gauge 7.25") locomotive whose boiler has
started weeping in an unfortunate place.  This place being around the
inside of the firehole ring on the inner backhead.  Probably one of the
most inaccesible places to get at!
