What to look for in a pillar drill26 Jul 2006 01:49 GMT8
I have decided I need a bench pillar drill. Ideally to be used both for
modelling and some full size car/bike engine parts, i.e. robust enough
to handle the odd 1/2 inch hole. I already have a big range of 1MT and
2MT drills, and several chucks, which may swing things.

DC motor question25 Jul 2006 11:17 GMT17
The variable speed controller on my Chester mini lathe has died, it's a 2A,
220 V DC brush motor and looks like a pulse width modulation controller.
Anyone know of either a circuit or a supplier of a board? I've found a
simple12/24 v circuit but I don't want to waste time ...

I've finished adding a low speed range to my Seag C6B.  It works well,  but
not as expected.
In its original state,  the C6B has a single speed range 0 - 2000rpm.
The motor pulley is 67mm and the spindle pulley is 135mm. From this,  I've

This airplane guy would much appreciate some aftermarket 1/35 Sherman track
