air pressure question29 Aug 2006 14:48 GMT7
When people talk about airbrushing at a certain psi (e.g. 12,15,20
etc..).  Are they referring to the reading on the gauge when the
airbrush trigger is depress?  I noticed that the pressure drops by
about 7-10 psi when the trigger is depressed.  If anyone would clear
1/100 Aicraft Kits FS/FT29 Aug 2006 07:53 GMT1
Have some 1/100 scale kits, complete and unassembled in boxes, that I would

All kits are complete, with the exception of the Takara Area 88 kits, which
are missing the 1/24 scale pilots that came with them. Everything else is

I saw the "news from Trumpeter" at the Cybermodeler site and was

Seemed like an awful lot of planes unless you are upgrading your

Metalizer screwup - need help28 Aug 2006 19:28 GMT9
My first attempt at using a metalizer didn't work very well.
I used the model master aluminum plate (buffing).
The finish refuses to shine up. It looks like the plastic
surface was just too rough. I probably should have put a
Phantoms for Enzo28 Aug 2006 14:40 GMT8
Enzo,
Did you say that you were looking for 1/72 Phantom kits?  I've just got back
from my local model shop and he had about a dozen Phantom kits, mostly
Hasegawa, for sale at reduced prices.  I hadn't time to make a list but if
Model Car Painting Question re Clear Coating28 Aug 2006 05:52 GMT2
When exactly should a clear coat be added when painting a model car?
For example, I just finished putting down multiple coats of Tamiya red
metallic lacquer on a Revell Corvette. In between coats, I sanded out
the paint. My final coat is near perfect, but there is a very subtle
Italian Navy28 Aug 2006 02:01 GMT4
I am wanting to make a model of the Italian Navy's AV-8B Harrier II Plus

Finish inside a bore27 Aug 2006 18:11 GMT7
I'm trying to machine a cylinder liner from a nice piece of 50mm cast iron
bar from folkstone engineering.  All done,  but I can't get a good finish in
the bore.  I'm about 0.15mm from size now and rapidly running out of road!
I've tried a Glanze boring bar with CCMT type tip and ...

I've been away a while.  Does anyone now make a 1/35 scale M59 APC

Thanks.
