Before I decide on lathe and mill, I will need to buy an engine crane. Need one in any case just to move the 4" scale boiler around. Will the MachineMart 1ton folding be adequate? Cheers

I'm looking for a filler for the seams on plastic model buildings (on an HO model railroad). Very narrow seams, maybe half a mm wide. A bit too wide for paint to fill them in. I read posts about using automotive filler, but it sounded like that worked best for bigger

I'm looking for a brick colored paint to paint (using an airbrush) plastic models of buildings (on a model railroad). None of the Model Master colors that I've seen seem right. Too red or too glossy. Has anyone found a good brick-like color to use????

Hope some one here has one of these units can answer a simple question. The dies for the machines what outside diameters are they. For instnce the Clarke 12 ton unit has 6 dies for formers going from 1/2" to 2" but are they outside diameters or inside diameters of pipe?

I've just started on Harold Halls 'Lathework - complete course'. I bought a set of TCT lathe tools from Chronos at the weekend, cos I didn't really have a proper set. There was a choice between the TCT and the HSS, but reading another thread here, have I made the wrong choice?
