Lets not forget 9/11/0114 Sep 2006 16:10 GMT9
5 Years ago today, the world changed FOREVER.
The United States of America was attacked on its own soil.
Thousands of people were killed, and National landmarks
DESTROYED.
Band saw13 Sep 2006 23:20 GMT8
The metal bandsaw turned up today from Warco.  I assembled the flat pack
stand and mounted the main saw to it, fitted guard for the belt pulleys
and picked a piece of bar to try.
100 mm dia of EN8 took it 20 minutes which I though was good going on the

Pillar Drill Vice Question13 Sep 2006 09:59 GMT10
I have followed the advice given to me here and bought a Meddings MB4
7/8 inch bench drill - and I am very pleased with its condition and
capability (and price) given it dates back to 1964. But I am going to
ask a really dumb question - you see they never did metalwork at my
fine whisky13 Sep 2006 03:10 GMT1
I am now going to start drinking fine Scotch whisky in rememberance of my
aunt, my only aunt, my Auntie Margery, Margery Semple, who was partial to a
drop herself and who died yesterday aged about 84.
I may post some more tonight, but probably not. You do not have to and
Help...need decals13 Sep 2006 02:48 GMT4
I won a 1/144 F-4 Phantom II jet kit in a raffle over the weekend, but
it doesn't have decals.
Does anyone know of a maker of USA decals for this scale/kit?
Or perhaps someone has some they can part with.
Model Naval Ships Website12 Sep 2006 16:33 GMT7
I'm interested in doing a 1/350 scale naval model (my first) - actually
quite like the idea of the New Jersey rather than the usual famous WWII
stuff.
Would like to do Tamiya one as I want a fairly easy construction but with
DC-130 Resin Nose12 Sep 2006 13:34 GMT4
I understand a company called "In Country  Hobbies" made a resin part that
represents the USAF version of the "Cyrano" nose of the DC-130 E and H.
Does anyone know if this company is in business or if the part is still
available?
Trumpeter 1/24 scale aircraft kits - luftwaffe12 Sep 2006 13:29 GMT2
Have not bought any of the 1/24 scale Trumpeter luftwaffe kits yet..  Would
like some input from those of you familiar with these kits as far as
quality/accuracy if you don't mind?  Am thinking of one of the 109 G models
as well as the new 190 D kits.  I know that some of these ...
RC Joystick NG^2 (DIY RC to USB interface)12 Sep 2006 12:15 GMT1
for those who are interested in our little project of an RC to USB
interface...

device to get around constraints on speed and report size imposed for
hydraulic oil query12 Sep 2006 12:12 GMT3
The intended application makes this slightly OT but the group seems to have
extensive lubricant knowledge (and  purchasing in small quatities).
Too late to ring the manufacturers and my "domestic"(2000W)  log splitter
needs the hydraulic oil topping up.  My friendly local farmer ...
Yankee Model Works / Resin Question11 Sep 2006 21:57 GMT6
I am thinking about buying a kit from Yankee Model Works.  I have not
worked with resin.  When researching resin modeling in general, there
has been several references to soaking all the parts in Westleys Bleach
White before beginning.  On a large kit, like a ship, this is going to

book question11 Sep 2006 17:43 GMT3
Hi Troops:
I saw the first volume of that 2 volume series on German Luftwaffe
Camouflage and Markings by Merrick on the shelf at my local Barnes &
Noble today. I was tempted (had a 15% off chit) but noticed that the
