oil leaking from the head stock where the spindle comes out of it. (

Oil-cooled welders05 Oct 2006 19:19 GMT5
I'm pondering the question of whether I need a bigger welder. I
currently have a Cytringan "Bantam" 180 A oil-cooled machine. It's
almost identical to the more common Pickhill and Oxford "Bantam" sets.
Perhaps users of these British oil-cooled machines could give me their
Tracks Painting Tips?05 Oct 2006 15:41 GMT2
Am finishing a Tamiya T-55A and splurged for Friuel tracks. They look great
& work better, but I'd like to ask the armor types out there how they paint
their tracks and get some good advice :-)
How about it? Any gems of wisdom?
Bizzare P-47 Paint Scheme05 Oct 2006 13:47 GMT7
Anybody got a picture of a P-47 Thunderbolt in a non standard or
bizzare paint scheme?  If so, send me a picture.  I have one on the
bench that is ready for paint and I'd like to do something different.
Thanks.

Anyone knowledgeable about BTH motors?05 Oct 2006 07:42 GMT14
The saga with my Holbrook C10 continues and I'm beginning to accept that
it must be the motor. It's a 3 speed motor rated at 2HP but is a monster
and is buried inside the machine. The rating plate says it's a British
Thomson-Houston (BTH) KVZ4120. It has an 8 hole flange that ...
military figurines question05 Oct 2006 03:56 GMT7
I have a good friend in Europe that is looking for a *good* source for
military
figurines.  He is currently reading Shelby Foote's American Civil War
trilogy and I believe he would like to scale model some ACW figures.
Brush maintenance, please help a noob04 Oct 2006 22:12 GMT7
I have been spending a lot of money lately on brushes, as I've just
started doing model ships.
I've been using paint thinner purchased at a local hardware store to
get paint off the brushes to reuse them when i need to use a different
That elusive leak04 Oct 2006 21:50 GMT4
I've been chasing a very elusive leak on the coolant plumbing for my
induction furnace, desperate to find it before I added the antifreeze
when it will only get worse. Very simple bit of 1" bsp pipework in
stainless. An elbow, a reducing bush, a brass non return valve and an

Academy B-24 info needed04 Oct 2006 18:30 GMT19
I'm thinking of doing a Matchbox Privateer with B-24 wings &
engines. I have the old Airfix & Revell B-24s in my stash, & of the
two, the Airfix kit's panel lines & detail would be more along the
lines of the Matchbox kits. Does anyone have the Academy kit &
