Priming - Is it worth the trouble?24 Oct 2006 16:34 GMT17
I've sprayed three model cars with Testors primer and all of them show
orange peel. It took me over an hour to sand the orange peel on one of the

Help please selecting a relay?24 Oct 2006 15:52 GMT14
Part of the process of fitting an inverter drive to my lathe involves
using the original motor control lever on the apron.
This operates a switch with two positions each for both forward &

Free electrical and mechanical stuff for projects24 Oct 2006 12:18 GMT3
I'm having a clear-out of stuff which I haven't used for projects. The
following items are free to a good home:
* 3 hp @ 2850 rpm three phase motor (some fin damage but otherwise okay).
* 2 hp @ 1425 rpm three phase motor (dodgy bearings but otherwise okay).

aftermarket opportunity -24 Oct 2006 06:34 GMT6
Reading the B-29 thread, and based on my own experience,  I wonder why some
of the aftermarket vendors couldn't make parts for building kits with the
gear up and the bombay doors closed?  I prefer gear up models for both
aesthetic and practical reasons (mine hang from the ...

I'm thinking of doing some sort of diorama relating to some recent
Presidents, and their service.
You see, it struck me that the conservatives seem to be flyboys, while
the liberals have webbed feet. Or (in other words) both Bushes were

Corgi24 Oct 2006 00:26 GMT7
James here.
I'm from New Zealand. I'm an avid collector of Corgi diecast aircraft,
especially 1:144 scale. Anyone else collect diecast aircraft on here
besides me??

scanner23 Oct 2006 21:33 GMT5
Hi Troops:
Well, the lamp went out in my HP scanner and I figured that since I
bought it in 1998 there might not be much chance of simply getting it
repaired. The gent at Best Buy's repair center said it would cost more
Badger 175 Crescendo question.23 Oct 2006 17:15 GMT14
I recently bought a Badger 175 Crescendo on ebay and upon my receiving
it, i have my doubts that maybe something is not right with it. The

and it is my second badger 175 airbrush. The airbrush looks a bit
