More Lex questions21 Oct 2006 17:10 GMT11
A few more questions about the Lexington (CV2) kit I am working on.
In a couple of those side galleries along the hull there are some
machines that look like small cranes. Should these be hull color, or
would they be some other color.
CVN-65 USS Enterprise21 Oct 2006 17:00 GMT1
Does anyone know if the recently issued Monogram USS Enterprise in
1/400 scale is the same mold as the old OTAKI kit? I have not seen
both at the same time to compare side to side, but the OTAKI looks
like it is a slightly better kit. In other words, if you could buy

playing with the less-than-perfect milling cutter that came with the
mill/drill machine I have here (big Clarke/Machine mart one, CL1220 or
somesuch number).  It's a 2" or so dia cutter with 4 carbide blades.  In
this instance I was working on a bit of 50x6mm mild steel, trying to ...

Autos: Looking For A Highly Unlikely....21 Oct 2006 05:27 GMT10
Instruction sheet.  I will take a scan if you have the sheet.  What am I
looking for?  A Hudson Miniatures 1911 Buick 'Bug'.  I have the kit but
there are no instructions and despite my idea that I could adapt the old
Aurora 1/16th instructions, I find I do need the original.
45 Tooth changewheel20 Oct 2006 19:21 GMT13
Does anyone have a suggestion for a supplier where I may get a 45 tooth
change-wheel for my Mitchell lathe.
I have measured my other change-wheels and they are all 11DP with a
pressure angle of 14.5 degrees, 1 inch wide with a 1 inch diameter bore
Help Needed - Academy Tiger 134820 Oct 2006 18:40 GMT3
I need a scan of the instructions for the Academy Early
Tiger with interior, kit no. 1348.  I picked this thing
up at a show and the instructions are missing.  I've
tried looking on the Academy websites and even emailed
Harrison L5 Toolpost20 Oct 2006 18:32 GMT3
I am looking for a quick change tool post for my Harrison L5.
Arceurotrade are local to me, so I think I'll pop down there to get one
of their model 100 or 200 ones. How do you know what size to get? Apart
from John S (Seen that he has one on a C6) does anyone else have
Slot Drill / normal Drill20 Oct 2006 18:29 GMT9
Im sure that in my previous web-wanderings I came across an
article/page which described milling, and said that a slot drill is
basically a normal drill sharpened differently.
Of course now I need this information I cannot find it... so can anyone
New Revell-Germany 1/72 T-6G - Harvard Mk.4?20 Oct 2006 17:35 GMT1
I saw Revell-Germany's new 1/72 T-6G - Harvard Mk.4 at the hobby shop
this week and was wondering if this is a new mold or a reissue of a kit
from another manufacturer?
Anybody know for sure?
Portable Generator Power20 Oct 2006 09:59 GMT9
This might be a bit off topic, but I think some kind person might be
able to help.
I have let myself in for a job removing and re-welding four tubular
body mounting brackets on my nephew's "Dax" Cobra kit car.

Quick question on keys for shafts20 Oct 2006 01:44 GMT5
Is it common to obtain 6mm x 6 mm keys or 6 mm x 8 mm keys?
An internet pages suggests it should be 6 x 6 but a shaft minus the key
seems to suggest 6 x 8 would fit better.   The 8 mm being the height of
the key into the shaft and gear the 6 mm being the width.
PAX20 Oct 2006 00:25 GMT1
Does anyone know why the A/C are on mounts by gate 3 at Pax River NAS?  I
have parked an image of it on my webshots site
http://rides.webshots.com/photo/2862254890066013904BtJUpo
It appears to be an SH-60? and an A-6.  The mounts seem to be movable?  The
