Drill Sharpening16 Nov 2006 15:26 GMT2
Unsophisticated but does the job if the instructions are followed.  Bought
one for a couple of pounds at a bootsale & would not be without it.

Bu. No. 159610 AC/207 of VF-32, one of the aircraft which shot down a pair
of Libyan MiGs on 4 Jan 89.
I have the Almark sheet for this aircraft, which states that the colours
ME Articles BH600 Improvements - Can Anyone Help16 Nov 2006 13:36 GMT3
Hi, all, I've just gone through my ME collection to find the Anthony
Mount articles on improving the BH600 that were published in 2003.
Unfortunately a couple of those I am missing include my main area of
interest - the clutch. If anyone has time to help out it would be much
Drilling stainless 303 - what noise?16 Nov 2006 09:04 GMT7
When I drill mild steel or aluminium, my lathe makes hardly any noise.
Sometimes a light "shooshing" sound which makes me withdraw the drill
bit to remove swarf etc. or lower the feed rate.
I was trying to drill a 3mm hole down some 5mm 303 rod. The drill bit
R/C batteries.16 Nov 2006 08:26 GMT4
I have been building scale sailing models for many years for collectors
and museums but with the advent of our first grandson I have decided to
build a fully detailed R/C model of the trawler 'Ladysmith' at 1/48
scale for him to take down the local boat pool when he is older which ...
Model Warships Walkaround Gato.16 Nov 2006 07:07 GMT2
I recently sent photos of the U.S.S. Drum to www.modelwarships.com and
possibly later on this coming week, it will be on there. No hurry for it,
but I got to say that anyone that some aftermarket company could realize
that they could make a resin or plastic conversion for the ...
CAR: Sorta...16 Nov 2006 06:10 GMT10
Actually I'm looking for instruction sheet scans of the Monogram '40
Ford Pickup.  I got most of two in an auction last Saturday but no
chrome and no instructions.  Anyone out there have the sheets from
#PC91?  I believe that was the last 'Stock' one issued.

Question about 1/72 Gato16 Nov 2006 02:52 GMT3
Hey, all.
I find I'm curious about this sub model. I haven't done a real model in
a long time, and am considering grabbing this kit.
I went looking for photos of a completed one on Revell's site, and

Clamp Ammeters at higher frequencies15 Nov 2006 23:12 GMT6
I have a rather ancient (1950's??) Ferranti (type L mk2) clamp ammeter
with scales up to 1000Amp ac. It presumably is intended only for 50
cycle use. No electronics in it, the jaws are the transformer core,
the target wire the primary and a simple moving coil meter with
Anyone want a big surface table?15 Nov 2006 22:06 GMT20
I've got a very nice  Cast Iron surface/marking out table. 48" x 30",
looks almost unused.
It's going to be seriously in the way next week, so if anyone can make
use of it & can collect by next Thursday they can have it for scrap
Single Phase  Speed Controllers15 Nov 2006 20:12 GMT2
I've just made a flexible shaft and handset arrangement to polish twostroke

angle grinder but I need to control the spindle speed.  Does anyone know of
a suitable unit at reasonable price?  I also need a ...
