More tachos - less OT04 Nov 2006 21:07 GMT9
Years ago I bought this item intending to fit it to an old diesel
engine. It's languished in a drawer ever since, occasionally I wonder
about fitting it to a machine.

Clerget / Sopwith Question04 Nov 2006 12:02 GMT2
I just started to build a Hasegawa Clerget 1/8 Scale Rotary Engine.  I
think it would be nice to display it with an appropriate airplane.  I
was thinking Sopwith Camel?  I haven't built a bi wing plane before and
was wondering if anyone in the group might suggest a kit that would be
Myford cross slide controls04 Nov 2006 10:34 GMT2
When I bought my Super 7, I was told that there was a washer missing
underneath the cross-slide handle - basically the micrometer dial
doesn't move when you wind the cross slide in and out. I tried using
the washer from underneath the compound handle (same part number) and

I normally use Siemens Inverters but have recently acquired a Mitsubishi

Broken carbide tips03 Nov 2006 21:35 GMT5
I'm rapidly getting through my stock of small triangular carbide
inserts but wondered if there was anything that could be done with the
broken/chipped ones - is using the entire flat side for finishing or
something practical?
Red gunk03 Nov 2006 14:46 GMT7
It's official - I've spent more on tools and accessories to go with my lathe
and mill in the 3 months since I bought them than they cost in the first
place! Prompted by another courier type chap today muttering something about
b****y heavy that! Get to the point - who said that? OK ...
