UK Military Modeling Magazine - What Happened?29 Nov 2006 03:38 GMT6
Anybody know the whole story on what happened to this magazine?  I know
we heard that the publisher ran into financial trouble - but I'm

some critique.

looking for British rocket pods28 Nov 2006 23:10 GMT17
I'm looking for a source for 36 tube rocket pods as used by the RAF and
RN in 1/72 scale. I know of one series of kits that have these pods, the
Czechmaster Buccaneer kits, but although I hear the kits are well worth
their price, I find almost 60 pounds for a bunch of rocket pods a ...
tamiya paint question28 Nov 2006 22:55 GMT17
Using Tamiya acrylic paints by handbrushing over large surfaces, ie. wings,
hulls, etc., paint removes itself when over-painting. This happens even when
applying second coat on thoroughly dry first layer. Does Tamiya paint act as
it's own paint remover?

Hi all, after a long break from the hobby (the usual reasons-family
grown up etc), I would like to get back into making model aircraft
kits.
I was never what you would call a skilled modeller back then, I just

Can someone identify this boat?28 Nov 2006 04:04 GMT12
I was looking at pics of the Dutch IPMS 2006 and spotted a rather
interesting German boat.  I don't normally do boats, but this one was
interesting enough I would if I could ID it and find one.  Here is the
link to the pics, it's on page 2, top row pics #4 and 5, and second row,
Selling model kits and die cast on eBay28 Nov 2006 02:05 GMT2
My uncle recently passed away.  He was an avid collector of model kits.
Curious for some group insight on how best to sell these in an effort
to get my aunt the best return.  We have an offer from a shop owner and
of course it's low.

Steam calliopes, anyone?28 Nov 2006 00:01 GMT6
--I'm searching for info on a fellow named Andrew G Thompson who,
back in 1977, wrote an article in Live Steam magazine about how to build a
small steam calliope. In following issues he had a small ad featuring cored
bronze calliope valve castings. These appear to be exactly what I ...
