Clarkson Tool & Cutter  Grinder MK120 Dec 2006 00:10 GMT3
I have recently aquired a Clarkson mk1 grinder and it is all set up and
working. Now the question, what is the purpose of the four 3/4ins and
the four 5/8ins holes on the right hand side of the top slide ?

Frank,
I can't think of any time when I would buy a laminator. If I really
wanted to make a white decal I would silkscreen on water slide decal
paper. Silkscreening is something I've had experience with.

Heavy Duty DPDT Relay19 Dec 2006 18:34 GMT7
I'm looking for heavy duty relay that I can use to switch the direction on a
2HP / 36V 50A / 1.8kW PMDC motor. I've looked at the usual suspects of
Farnell, Maplin and RS but havn't found anything suitable.  Can anyone here
suggest somewhere else to look?
What has happened at Chaski19 Dec 2006 17:59 GMT3
I look on the www.Chaski.com/foroms from time to time and notice they are
not there.
Have they died?

Lathe Tool & Carbide Grinder19 Dec 2006 16:57 GMT3
Hi all, I have been reading this topic on another forum for a few days:

Polar Lights 1/350 Star Trek NCC-1701A Enterprise engine Q19 Dec 2006 02:22 GMT11
I see the 1/350 NCC-1701A kit claims to have parts to also build
the 1701. Now, not being a diehard Trek fan, but my interest is renewed
with ST now on TVLand, but I want to build the Enterprise from the
series. The best I can tell, the 1701 has the cylindrical engine pods &
Combined Lathe / Mill18 Dec 2006 22:17 GMT9
We are currently looking at combined lathe / milling machine.  The
Clarke CL500M / Warco (seems to be the same machine as the clarke
wearing different clothes).  Also seen the Chester Model B Super.
Cost and space (hence combined machine) are significant factors.
1/48 Scale PBY-5A Cat.18 Dec 2006 22:07 GMT7
Has anyone ever tried to balance this model? I was wondering how you can put
weights somewhere in the nose or anywhere else. How can you do this?

home made decals: inkjet or laser printer?18 Dec 2006 19:25 GMT17
Inkjet or laser printer? which is the better choice for printing decals?
I've read that colours on inkjit printed decals fade after one year or
two, is it true? I've some modelling projects that needs custom decals,

Changing lathes?18 Dec 2006 17:02 GMT6
I currently have a Chester Conquest lathe which is adequete for small
work. However as I am now building a 2 inch scale Clayton wagon it
really is a little too small and light in construction. Also the build
quality is not wonderful. However after a little tweaking it has been
O ring question18 Dec 2006 10:33 GMT9
I have a box of various O-rings and a parts list that calls for a 19 x 2mm
O-ring.  The 2mm bit is fairly obvious but is the 19mm the internal or
external diameter or the average of the two or some other measurement?
(circumference???)

WTB 1:48 scale Grumman S2 Tracker18 Dec 2006 07:35 GMT5
I have been unable to find an S2 Tracker in 1:48 scale anywhere. The kit was
made in box scale by Comet in the late '50's.  So far as I can tell, the kit
is in 1:48.  The Grumman S2 is special to me as I got to fly in one while
attached to the USS Intrepid.  My project This Year ...
Then Why The Plastic Bag?18 Dec 2006 07:30 GMT11
Is it to keep the parts from getting knocked around?,you would think
there'd be air holes  on the bag to help dry out the parts.
