I opened the box containing an AMT 1:48 Tigercat F7F-3. The decal sheet and clear parts sprue were damaged by the tires. I need replacements. The 1-800 number listed on the box is outdated (read useless). This was a Christmas gift so I didn't get a chance to open the box in ...

I keep hearing about peck drilling in the lathe using D bits and I just wondered what is the best orientation for the D bit to get the swarf to clear ? Is it better with the flat facing up or down or sideways ? Cheers,

Anyone got any good ideas regarding rejoining snapped bandsaw blades? I have 24metres of 2" square alloy to cut up into 360 pieces, and my last 6tpi blade broke at the original weld this afternoon, and no chance of getting a replacement til monday.
