| BF2C Oil Cooler? | 07 Jan 2007 15:50 GMT | 5 |
I am just starting the Classic Airframes Curtiss BF2C. The kit has an empty ring below and behind the engine cowl. In previous Hawks this was the location of an oil cooler. An empty (drag producing) ring protruding into the airstream makes no sense to me. Did CA just forget

| Has anyone bought/built the Revell '05-06 style Mustang kit? | 07 Jan 2007 14:43 GMT | 2 |
I was looking at the box pics at Hobby Lobby and the underhood detail looked meager at best - really unimpressive in the pictures considering it's a new mold benefitting from the current technology and attention to detail. Anyone with the kit care to give a run down on the good, ...

| Super Brown Chop saw | 06 Jan 2007 17:54 GMT | 3 |
Anyone know what the allen screw is for in the centre of the shaft that the blade fits on, and where the large retaining nut is on an old, and I mean old, Super Brown saw. Another thought is why do they make so many groaning noises and what can

| Longish small holes in gunmetal | 06 Jan 2007 16:19 GMT | 12 |
I need to drill eight 5/64" holes up to 1.5" long in a gunmetal casting (part of a model kit I was bought for Xmas !). The holes are steam passages so dimension is not critical, but there is not much scope for wandering off line, and a broken drill down the hole would be v bad

I propose to use card and some paper for a scale model. I was wondering about painting the finish. Some of the decorative touches I thought I might do on paper and glue on the curved surfaces, and for simple

Has anyone ever used 'Rhino Glue' for plastic modeling? It is a cyanoacrylate based cement and can be mixed with baking soda to make a filler. They also have a fast dry putty.
