Airfix 1/24"  WWII kits?03 Jan 2007 21:34 GMT3
The shop near me just got a whole bunch of new Airfix 1/24" Spitfires,
ME-109E's, and Mustangs.  They want $50.00 for each one.  I know nothing
about these Airfix kits.  Are they any good as compared with the new
Trumpeters for example?  jim

Early Myford super 7 clutch problem.03 Jan 2007 00:05 GMT9
My early model (with oil sight glass) super 7 clutch has started to slip
badly. I have attempted to remove the shaft and examine the clutch. Despite
my efforts and a large hammer I can't get the shaft out of the
clutch/pulleys. I have a manual but its from a later model and I ...

Ebay advice sought02 Jan 2007 17:25 GMT12
In this auction that's ending tomorrow, there's a cool book that's not
getting a lot of looks. Could it have been posted better?  Here's the
URL so you can see the listing itself, and the item in question is the
B-24 book by Al Lloyd:
USAAF Jet Black was: P-61 gloss black too?02 Jan 2007 17:24 GMT3
In reponse to the posts on P-61 and P-38 gloss black night fighters.
When WW II started most countries went with a flat black camouflage for
aircraft operating at night. Most realized this was not ideal so the Brits
and Germans switched to light greys from their day schemes for ...
