1/35th Italeri PT boat12 Feb 2007 01:45 GMT10
Got mine today missing the metal gun barrels. Called squadron and was
told that every kit is missing the barrels. Other than that the model is
magnificent. The .50 cal machine guns are the best I have ever seen in
an injection molded kit. I check the drawings that I have and the ...

Alfred Herbet bench mount drill for sale - cheap!!!11 Feb 2007 21:26 GMT1
I have a nice precision bench mounted drill surplus to requirements.
It has a large electric motor and runs fast.  Ideal for precision
drilling small holes and is fitted with a small chuck - I think it will
take up to about 8mm shank.

Rust in collet system10 Feb 2007 19:17 GMT13
My old faithful Black and Decker valve refacer has given perfect service for
15 years or so. It's spent most of that time in the garage subject to
whatever vagaries of temperature and moisture exist in there and the last
few years in the kitchen (don't ask). All was well until ...
Mounting 1/35 figures10 Feb 2007 15:18 GMT2
I like to mount my figures by drilling a hole into one leg where I can
glue a short lenght of paper clip wire into it and stick the other end
of the wire into the base.  Recently I found a cheap 1/4 drill chuck
that has a stem that would fit into a 1/4 inch hex screwdriver socket.

Light Oil10 Feb 2007 05:18 GMT23
Can anyone help my by recommending a light oil for small precision
mechanisms? I have been playing about with low differential
temperature sterling cycle engines recently, and have one that quite
happily runs on the tiny bit of heat generated by my computer monitor.

day's time.  Now if I only had a money tree in the backyard...

For those 110 builders that collect mags.  All of these articles are
specific to the 1/32 Revell kits.  Good reference info if you've got it
or can get it...most of the scratchbuilding incuded in these articles is
pretty basic, with the exception of vac forming a canopy in one ...
Boxford / Myford ER32 collet chuck from Chronos10 Feb 2007 00:05 GMT11
I saw Chronos do a ER25 collet holders (chucks) for Boxford and Myford lathes
and I asked them if there's any prospect of an ER32 version.  Reply was that
they'd do one if there is enough demand.  ISTM that ER32 is an ideal size for
the older versions of both these types of lathe ...
