Anyone have the Model Engineer articles on the Stent T&C Grinder in an

They were published in ME issues 3910, 3912, 3914, 3916, 3918, 3920,
and 3922
Car: For the Austin-Healey Fans08 Feb 2007 01:38 GMT1
There's a short but fairly informative article on them in the latest
"Collectible Automobile".  I found out some things I didn't know and
there are some great photos too.

WWI Aircraft Builders - opinions on aircraft in movie "Flyboys"07 Feb 2007 22:26 GMT21
Just watched it yesterday and was wondering what the WWI knowledgeable
thought of the planes.  Did they get it right? Anything stand out as grossly
inaccurate. I'm talking about the static rendered appearance. I know the
rendered flight dynamics and the plot were typical ...
Dragon 1/32 P-51D07 Feb 2007 20:21 GMT8
Picked up one of Dragon's freshly minted P-51Ds on Saturday. There are some
very nice examples of the injection moulder's craft in that sturdy little
box - take a look at the exhaust stacks, or the .50 cals and their
associated ammunition belts if you get the chance, you'll see ...
Long Tom Question07 Feb 2007 17:19 GMT8
On the 155mm heavy artillery piece "Long Tom"  it is laid using a
split trail.  On the upper mid point of each trail leg is a fence like
structure that seems to have no function.  On model displays, and
maybe even photos of the gun these fences are ;posed in their original

Meant to mention this earlier but FSM has an article on the Hawk Ohka this
month. Should help you.

Fingers dull my finish and Fine Scale Modeler07 Feb 2007 15:32 GMT4
I laid down a nice aerosol silver for my P 51. The problem I had was
it dulled dramitically as I worked further on the kit.
My question is how do I avoid this in the future?
Any tips are most welcome.

LF: Instructions for Darth Vader Tie Fighter06 Feb 2007 23:55 GMT5
I have an old MPC/ERTL Darth Vader Tie Fighter kit, number 8916 but
unfortunately, it is missing the instructions.  If anyone has the
instructions and can email/fax/snail mail them, please let me know.
Or if anyone knows of a source for these instructions, I would
Joining Fibreglass Tubes06 Feb 2007 22:53 GMT13
As you may have gathered by now I'm making a radio control submarine and due
to it's size (4m/13ft) it needs to 'foldaway' for transport.....
The body is 0.5m diameter and made of fibreglass and I'm trying to work out
the best way to join them together so they can separated easily ...
Collets: Plan B?06 Feb 2007 19:38 GMT1
--This morning I got a phonecall from an outfit that sells a 5-C
collet closer that will fit a Myford Super 7 lathe. I'm curious if anyone
here has adapted their Myford to 5-C and if there are any caveats..
    Thanks,

Chaps
I have just acquired an RJH Bison 10" pedestal grinder which is a fine cast
iron device.  I have seen a picture of a drill grinding version of this
machine: -  this is the current edition.

Making Pin style "C" spanner05 Feb 2007 22:58 GMT17
I've needed to dismantle the bearings in my drilling machine and this
requires removal of a pair of lock nuts which are round with a radial
hole drilled in them, presumably form some kind of "C" spanner.
Naturally I don't have one of these and will now need two of them.  They

not really model engineering as such.  I want to build a bridge, needs to
span about 7m (from memory) and carry a load of say 20T so that lorries can
get across it to do deliveries.
Anyone either
