Bundeswehr HS-30 References?27 Feb 2007 13:03 GMT2
Recently received a handful of ROCO Minitanks models, including the
West German HS-30 IFV of the '60s.  I can't find crap for references
about it - and it's a fascinating vehicle, seemingly ahead of its
time.  I have Googled, and found a few short paragraphs and pictures,
Spabo face mills?27 Feb 2007 09:35 GMT1
Anyone heard of Spabo brand face mills?
I got three different sizes of these in a job lot of cutters recently,
they use a square insert on edge. The insert is held in place with
what looks remarkably like a bent nail through the centre of the

i want at least one of al's kits. i have thousand of spare
parts he sent, but it ain't the same. is this kit ok? i

small storage boxes suggestions please26 Feb 2007 23:56 GMT16
I could do with knowing a UK source for small boxes to put oddments in,
current work in progress parts in , that sort of thing. That would stack,
with lids. Currently using tesco pasta trays but stacking sees contents
vulnerable as they have no lids.
M-39 Armored Utility Vehicle ????26 Feb 2007 23:44 GMT2
Greetings to All!
Has anyone out there built a Korean war era M-39? Is there a "straight
from the box kit" available or maybe an M-18 conversion set you'd
recommend? Or if it comes to it, a good reference for a scratchbuilt
Myford Spring Show26 Feb 2007 23:15 GMT1
I know Myford's massive publicity and marketing department will
probably broadcast this through all available channels, TV ads, Spam e-
mails etc, but for anyone they might miss, they are having a 'Spring
Show' at the works at Beeston, sale items, new and used stuff ,
Selling my stuff :(26 Feb 2007 21:57 GMT1

Perils of Modern Shopping26 Feb 2007 20:43 GMT1
I usually avoid the Supermarket shopping like the plague but about 3
weeks ago my wife mentioned that they had started doing a lot of tools
on promotion in the local Tesco's. So to earn a few "smartie points" I
obviously offered to help next time she went. I turned up "to help" as
cnc'd Sieg X326 Feb 2007 19:06 GMT13
Anybody see anything terminally wrong with this ebay item no 140087278572
before I sell a couple of the kids and jump in?
I realise that now I have drawn everybodys attention to it the price is
going to be silly - DOH!
Dumb question: marker pencils26 Feb 2007 15:29 GMT5
I have, or had, a yellow marker pencil that was great for marking
metal parts. It had a wooden 'casing', so to speak, and a soft waxy
'lead'. Unfortranately I seem to have sharpened it down to a stub, and
lost that.
More Fire Bricks26 Feb 2007 15:27 GMT25

Looks like we may have some more storage heaters coming out of a substation near
us, if anyone wants some of the bricks, let me know asap please.

Machinery Prices26 Feb 2007 11:51 GMT1
The current West Point Machine Tools flyer came this morning, and I was browsing
through at tea break to see what was on offer and looking for the occasional
bargain (I live in hope!)
What did strike me was that even relatively old machinery still seems to command
ALDI Compressor Back on Sale26 Feb 2007 07:27 GMT8
ALDI have their compressor with tools back on sale again from thursday
1st March for £59.95
I bought one about 15months ago and it has been pretty useful, even
the gravity fed spray gun and air brush that came with it have worked
Bridgeport I.D thought26 Feb 2007 06:54 GMT3
I was wondering what came first, or what is the story of a machine that has
the turret arm with a cast plate that only says "Bridgeport" as opposed to
one that says "Bridgeport by Adcock & Shipley"
Would the one not marked A & S be an American import?  I have both, and feel
