| Spitfire caricature kit? | 19 Feb 2007 21:19 GMT | 14 |
Greetings to all! Go ahead and laugh, I am. Looking for a couple of kits that came out in the mid 70's, I think. One was a Spitfire and I vaguely remember a second kit of a German plane, but not sure what. Both were silly

Anybody have one or know where you could find one of these Junks. I think Monogram made them along with the RAG boat at or around the same time. Also was there such a thing made as a "Chinese War Junk" and in what

| Substitute? | 19 Feb 2007 14:48 GMT | 5 |
Decided to get back to modeling after many, many years away. Anyway, cost of thinner (e.g., Testors, etc.) is outrageous. Will mineral spirit work as a cleaner/thinner? I have a 1/48 Skyraider just waiting for an answer. Thanks.

| Cheap recirculation pump | 19 Feb 2007 13:46 GMT | 9 |
I'd like a Kenlowe Hotstart for my Landrover, but they cost about £300. Was thinking, and please bear with me, that I could make a much cheaper system that used a domestic kettle element and thermostat in a suitable container, plus a pump to circulate coolant past the heater.

| Where can I get... | 19 Feb 2007 08:25 GMT | 5 |
I am looking for spring wavy washers and all my local hardware shops keep offering me are "shake-proof". I am after 8mm - 5/16" inside bore. I am sure that I have seen these made from copper alloy. Any suggestions for small quantity (dozen) supplier?

I am in the process of restoring a Matchbox 1/32 Spitfire Mk.22 that I build many, many moons ago. Unfortunately, in the intervening years (decades?), I have lost some kit parts. If anybody has any parts from this kit that they are willing to part with, I would be most grateful. The ...

| Anyone know a Mr. Ray Leathers? | 18 Feb 2007 11:33 GMT | 1 |
I'm always loath to make accusations, since the other party's affairs may well be completely reasonably explained. So I would just like to ask you all, does anyone know a Mr. Ray Leathers, or has experience in trading with him?

Probably a bit off-topic, but I was wondering if anyone here had ever had a go at making their own PCBs using photo paper? If so could they recommend one? Cheers,

| Anyone recognise this spindle nose? | 18 Feb 2007 10:22 GMT | 9 |
I have a chuck backplate here that turned up with some other stuff a while back. I was wondering if anyone can tell me what lathe/s if might fit. The spindle nose for it would be similar to a Myford pattern but much larger. The register section would be 2 inch diameter and thread ...
