I have a painted (used) Tamiya model that looks like a plastic toy and I'd like to redetail.. I'd like to remove the decals and reuse them (Russian patriotic slogans on a 1/25 SU100). The thought that comes to mind is just soak it in a bucket of water until the decals float

I haven't bought a new model steam engine in a while - I've been concentrating on F-4s and Spitfires! But this will be my next purchase. The new Hornby rebuilt Royal Scot. A thing of joy and wonder.

I starting to build a heat exchanger and need some copper pipe - I'm having trouble sourcing it though and though I would ask. I need about a meter of 2" and a meter of 1.5" copper pipe and a few fittings. Metric equivalents would be fine :)

| Transport -BIG Mistake | 30 Mar 2007 16:14 GMT | 7 |
Well, I collected my new machine without any problem. The tail lift was a fantastic idea, which made life very easy. Unfortunately I made the mistake of hiring an LDV van, which seemed to be powered with an old lawn mower engine -driving through a 200:1

Dunno if this'll be good for an argument or not, but here goes: My drill press is a Northern Tools 16mm capacity / 16 speed job - similar to the Sealy/Clarke type, I think. Half-way between bench-top and floor standing. I got it cheep from an auction cos the cut-out

| British Roundels | 30 Mar 2007 04:06 GMT | 5 |
I have seen many versions of the British Roundel in photographs and on models, and their seems to be a lot of variation in the proportions of the rings. Is there a reference somewhere that shows specifications for the various types and the periods during which they were used? ...
