R8 chuck/holder08 Mar 2007 19:25 GMT18
I use the J&L cheapie fine pitch ripper cutters, but having got through so
many I have decided to get some decent ones. Being tight, I often see on
eBay the flatted shank or Weldon style cutters, but don't seem to be able to
find a metric holder for these with an R8 taper. I want ...
Stash rules08 Mar 2007 14:51 GMT56
I have a certain number of rules regarding adding kits to my stash, in a
desperate - and probably futile - attempt to prevent my Main Stash exceeding
100 kits.  So, I have a number of questions...
Conversion kits:  Kits that provide major components such as fuselages. Does
Revell P-47N request08 Mar 2007 11:15 GMT4
For years, I had a kit of the Revell P-47N and about a year ago decided to
build it.  Then I discovered that somehow or other I had taken out the decal
sheet and now couldn't find it.  I tried Revell but as the kit was out of
production- no dice.  I tried posting on here but no ...

Clear skin in WWI aircraft08 Mar 2007 00:32 GMT7
I was reading (gasp, shriek, horror) instead of building over the weekend,
stumbled on a reference to some German aircraft that tried a clear covering.
I had never heard a word about this before. One of the big problems was
moisture - in a rainy/wet environment the material ...
Digital Vernier gone wobbly08 Mar 2007 00:01 GMT17
Hi there my digital Metabo Vernier will not zero it just wildly churns
through the numbers willy nilly. Is this a battery fault or should I be
sending it back on the warranty. It has been well  looked after as it was
special gift from my work colleagues when I was in Hospital after ...
What I would like to see from mfgs07 Mar 2007 23:34 GMT60
I did this as a new message, 'cause some of these planes would be too
big for 1/32 (though I DO like 1/32).
I like to build more civil aircraft.  Since several mfgs are now doing
some airliner versions of German aircraft, how about more US aircraft

Lister Startomatics07 Mar 2007 09:47 GMT5
How do the Lister Startomatic generators work? As I understand it,
when you put a load on (by switching on a light or plugging in a
kettle) it detects the fact, and electrically starts the diesel engine
by the 12v or 24v DC battery. This presumably means it must bias the
