Testors Glue04 Mar 2007 01:34 GMT2
I love it, man I just went out and bought another case. I love to sit
around, and sniff glue all day. Makes the day go by so nicely, and things
just look better. Sometimes I even put some glue on my kits, stiscks them

Aldi £9 angle grinder04 Mar 2007 01:18 GMT2
Bought a £9 Aldi angle grinder today.
Sounded like a bag of spanners.
Slipped off the 4 screws holding the gearbox cover and found the
grease all round the housing but none on the gear teeth.  Splodged in

Browning MG scale drawings?03 Mar 2007 20:23 GMT2
I am building the Guillows SBD-3 as a shelf scale model.  This is a
balsa-tissue flying model.  While quite detailed, the detail parts are
vacu-formed styrene.  The molding of the MGs are not the best, so I
will scratch them.

Have I got 3-phase?03 Mar 2007 16:24 GMT6
Probably a silly question here, as most of you know how electrically
dyslexic I am.
Just putting the final touches to the workshop floor repairs etc. and
happened to glance up at the distribution board, noticed that the SWA

Does anyone know the color of the landing gear and the color of the gear
wells in the A-10.  I thought both were white then saw something about the
gear being grey.
Anyn help appreciated.  Thanks

Does anybody here have a copy of Rudy Kouhoupt's DVD's or video of
"Advanced Aspect of Lathe Operation" and "Advanced Aspects of Milling
Machine". Are they worth the money new? or shall I wait until someone
here offers me them secondhand.
3-Phase Flashover02 Mar 2007 15:13 GMT4
We were looking at a piece of kit yesterday, where there had been a fairly
decent flashover across a set of terminals. No harm done, nobody hurt and
virtually no damage apart from the melted ends of the input terminals.
The terminals were Klippon ST5, and the circuit was fed from ...
Another 'Future' istic use02 Mar 2007 03:44 GMT15
After buying new model paint, I brush some Future over the label so as
not to wear off the paint color name, mfg part number, FS #, etc. when
handling over time.
I used to use scotch tape, but the Future is faster, cheaper, less
Local Fire01 Mar 2007 22:55 GMT3
Just off to kip last evening, when a series of loud crackles and bangs alerted
us to the fact that something was well alight and quite close.
Went outside and there was a disused house on High Street South (A6) with the
roof ablaze.
