Any Vancouver hobby shops28 Mar 2007 03:36 GMT9

mentioned it a couple of years ago), and I've got 7 days in Vancouver and
on Vancouver Island, from the 30 March.
Choice of plastic for milling & threading ..28 Mar 2007 01:26 GMT12
I have to make a holder for a prototype piece of kit, my choice of
material is a plastic as it needs to be RF transparent. I need to be
able to turn, mill, bore & thread it without great difficulty. The
material properties needs good UV resistance as the item will be used
Thx All For the New Bookmarks!28 Mar 2007 01:17 GMT1
this 5 year old eMac is on its deathbed.....
your bookmarks have at least got my modeling world back online. just
doing it around 90% slower than before, which, with dial up, is a
close second to geologic time.
And the truly recommendable kit award goes to...27 Mar 2007 22:17 GMT16
Trumpeter's 1/48 Wyvern. Having finished my Academy F16 (and never again
will I build one), I looked to my small but perfectly formed stash for
something nice to build. Now, a couple of weeks back I picked up the Trump
Wyvern in 1/72 and 1/48, so, being a bit of an FAA nut I ...
need sprayable washable primer ..suggestions ?27 Mar 2007 15:56 GMT9
Having sprayed my modified part with Halfords acrylic car grey primer to see
what imperfections I still have, I now need, 5 days on,  to get the darn
stuff off again to apply more filler, and super-glue an e-brass item to the
structure. Scraping away with a curved 10 blade in a ...

Myford cross slide turret27 Mar 2007 07:50 GMT2
I got one of these a month or so ago. The turret itself is undrilled
at the moment, so i still need to do this. What's stumped me is set-
up, is there an easy method of setting it up so it is central in the
spindle each time I want to use it, I can't see any obvious way of
Need copy of 1/72 Hase Curtiss Kittyhawk instructions27 Mar 2007 04:10 GMT3
Subject line says it all.  I have the old kit #B9 but inside it has
P-40N Warhawk instructions.  I know they're basically the same kit but
would like an actual copy of this kit's instructions if possible for
decal placement.  Will pay any copy/postage costs.
H-3 Jolly questions27 Mar 2007 01:22 GMT8
I'm in the process of building an Aurora HH-3 Jolly Green Giant. I'm trying
to make amends for the botched job I did as a kid (I overglued the rotors
and screwed up the hoist. Have the orginal square box, very cool.
The kit has a shield of some sort that fits in front of the ...
Lead sinkers and paint26 Mar 2007 23:34 GMT5
Other than coating the sinker in paint, would there be anything nasty?
Flange mount motors.. Where to get?26 Mar 2007 22:09 GMT13
I'm in the need of a 1hp 4 pole three phase flange mount motor.
I see that a fair number of people do foot mount motors for reasonable
(skinflint tight) prices, but flange mount is a bit less common. Does anyone
know of a cheap source of same or can I hang a foot mount motor from ...

Panzer I Tracks and Interior26 Mar 2007 14:43 GMT2
I'm planning on assembling a Zvezda Pz.IB in the near future.  I don't
particularly want to use the rubber band tracks supplied with the kit,
but I don't have enough familiarity with the aftermarket suppliers to
judge which would be the best replacement.  This is as complete a list
Burnerd GripTru chuck jaws wanted.26 Mar 2007 13:22 GMT4
I picked up a nearly new Grip-Tru chuck for my Myford at an auction
sale a while back. Between the time I looked it over, and the time I
bought it, it got separated from its outside jaws.
Longshot odds, but does anyone have an orphaned set around?
