| Myford S7 PXF | 17 Mar 2007 21:00 GMT | 2 |
I just spent a happy hour or two facing off buckets of swarf, and for about the 1,000th time wished my S7 did not pre-date the introduction of power cross feed. Apart from the backache, I am getting a headache from the cutting oil smoke and it would be nice to be able to stand ...

| Xtracolor drying times | 17 Mar 2007 18:13 GMT | 9 |
I normally use Xtracrylix acrylic paint, but there are some colours that aren't available in the range. For those, I have to use Xtracolor enamels. What is the usual drying time for these paints when sprayed? In my experience, it can be quite a long time. I sprayed an F-4 with ...

In gathering together all kinds of WWI 1/72 stuff for the next book and doing a stack of Russian WWI/Revolution figures for a client, I came accross a listing for the following: Airfix 1/72 Russian Imperial Infantry WWI Poly Plastic.

| Surface grinder and auto lathes | 16 Mar 2007 23:54 GMT | 8 |
I have been asked to remove a surface grinder from a local company. It is not a Jones and shipman, and there is no magnetic vice. The machine is apparently in working order, it is larger than a J&S 540, and until Friday, I do not have the makers name or model, or any photo's.

Hi, I'm helping a friend out with his model spitfire, I'm doing the light circuit for him. I was wondering if their are kits available that do this kind of thing already? If so can anyone suggest some links? I'm familiar with electronics but not so much with model

| I am stunned - Al Superczynski | 16 Mar 2007 16:06 GMT | 3 |
Sorry to rehash this sad topic, but I just this evening learned of Al's passing, and must say I'm feeling a great loss. I used to spend a lot of time on RMS, and back in the 90s when Revell's 1/48 B1 kit was still "rare", it was Al who answered my query as to whether anyone had ...

| Bevel gears wanted | 15 Mar 2007 21:48 GMT | 15 |
I'm looking for a pair of 1:1 bevel gears to reproduce an old engine control. Sizes not critical, but originals were something like 2.5" - 3" dia & 14 teeth, ie bigger/coarser than what's readily available for sensible money from the likes of HPC. The large tooth size is useful
