Long story short - I ventured out of modeling and painted my iBook laptop with Krylon Fusion. So far, good adhesion, great color and finish. However, I'm doing some "detail painting" over the Krylon Fusion base, and really need a clear coat over it.

| Poorly Fitting Holders Dixon Type QCTP Myford Size | 30 Apr 2007 19:17 GMT | 14 |
As a favour for a friend I bought him a genuine Dixon QCTP (Myford Size) as I picked up up some other things for myself. He is now moaning that his cheap "patern" holders do not fit well. Apparently the large 45 deg (?) faces are further apart on the genuine tool post.

| printing on metal | 30 Apr 2007 16:23 GMT | 2 |
Does anyone know how to print on metal? I'm toying with the ideal of custom making color photo etch details and I figured it would be easier if their was a printer that would allow you to feed thin brass sheets into it and print directly on to it.

| Hasa 1/32 Thunderbolt | 30 Apr 2007 00:13 GMT | 6 |
Besides most likely fixing the fist sized rivets the Revell kit has, what can we expect from Hasa? I have 5 Revell 1/32 bolts and really don't want to spend $50 or so for another, unless its really gonna be gods gift in terms of detail

Item 290108359039 Isn't it a tad unusual to have the grinding wheel axis of rotation perpendicular to the table on a surface grinder? (Unless it is intended to grind vertical surfaces, that is...)

I've been asked if I can make 3 gears (2 30T & a 60T) for a Colchester Lathe (no model yet specified) but since I don't have a Colchester I have no way (other than by reference to this group) to determine the specific chacteristics.

| Decorative Anodising | 28 Apr 2007 04:42 GMT | 2 |
One for the panel - does anyone have any experience of decorative anodising (as opposed to hard anodising) and can recommend a company who'd be prepared to deal with a small batch of about 15 different parts. The parts are from a racing car, and are mainly 7075-T6 or
