Now I've bought a cnc machine, I'm unlikely to build my own so all the
bits I've been hoarding for my possible cnc project are now on ebay.
Linear rails, milling spindle, and some assorted bits found in the
workshop.  Just look for me on ebay, my seller identity is
Heidenhain Y axis scale08 Apr 2007 13:51 GMT9
Continued the day by trying to find out why the Y axis on the Bridggy
stopped working. Despite removing all the screws, how on earth does the
aluminium housing for the scale come apart ?
I did notice that once all the screws were out, the slide started working,
Slightly OT Wireless Networks08 Apr 2007 13:07 GMT11
I know this is a bit OT, but it does concern the PC in my workshop,
and I know there are all sorts of clever folk here who know lots about
all sorts.  I have a BT Home Hub, which is in the house, and a PC in
my workshop.  The workshop PC has a wireless network card, but the

Tchibo digital slide calliper £1208 Apr 2007 00:29 GMT5
For those of us who suffer hours of being dragged around shops, look out for
an excellent 6 inch digital slide calliper ( Digital vernier to most of us,
except the purists ) for a bargain £12.
Large readout, 2 batteries, nice case. I will check accuracy tomorrow. I did
Markings for Herman Graf's Fw-190A507 Apr 2007 23:08 GMT2
I think this was addressed several years ago but I can't remember how it was
settled.  I have really nice Eduard 1/48 scale Fw-190A5 kit and I want to do
it in Graf's markings.  The question is whether or not the entire engine
cowling is painted all yellow or just the bottom, ...

Balls07 Apr 2007 15:19 GMT9
How are balls made?
I want to make some balls from probably monel or maybe brass/bronze, about
10 - 12 mm dia or so. They have to be pretty accurate and with good surfaces
(they are for high pressure ball valves).
Flyboys Movie07 Apr 2007 09:51 GMT5
Did Flyboys ever get released in the UK.
I kept an eye out for it showing at the cinema but never saw any sign.
Thought perhaps I had just missed it so checked out the DVD releases
expecting that it must be out now.

Flyboys question?07 Apr 2007 02:43 GMT6
Just got done watching the Flyboys DVD.  Why on earth was a Nieuport 17
depicted with a single Vickers?  Overall a pretty good movie IMHO.  jim
Krylon Fusion primer and paint06 Apr 2007 23:31 GMT15
If you've not used this stuff... go buy some and try it out. I have
Krylon Fusion white primer and Krylon Fusion black primer. The deal is
that Krylon has figured out how to get paint to bond molecularly with
plastics and resins. To put it briefly, it makes a very durable surface ...
paper stuck on decal06 Apr 2007 23:11 GMT2
I recently bought a old tamiya car kit (4-5 years) off ebay.  I opened
the box and noticed that the decal sheet where stuck to the
instruction manual.  I sepearated the two but some of the paper is now
stuck on top of the decal.  Any suggestions on how to remove that?
