I have been trying to keep a photo record of a model I am making using
my happy-snappy pocket digital Olympus. Its got a macro setting on the
camera but I think its playing up. Almost all the shots are blurred.
Is this (at last) my excuse for buying a whazzo digital SLR ? Anyone

I googled and found that there is just an old Airfix kit around... No
one else ever made this aircraft in 1/48?

Hope the group collective can help.
If a bearings dynamic load is 14.8 KN and static load is 7.8 KN. Am I
correct in working out that statically the bearing will take a weight of
7.8 x 1000 /9.8 = 796 kg.

Looking through the family inheritance for a 17/64 x 18 TPI and found a 1/2
inch x 36 TPI it's bound to be something to do with a push bike.

Anybody familiar with this aftermarket company? How do they stack up? In
particular, I am looking at some P-61 stuff.

I have a model that I need to paint gloss white, the base plastic is
grey. I have tried dusting on the white, but to get good coverage, it
is still much too thick, any hints ?

Just thought I would follow up my question a few weeks ago about DROs,
and let you know my experience.
I took the plunge and last week got a kit from Machine-DRO to fit my
Emco FB2 mill.

I would like a rear tool post for my CVA. The parts book illustrates
one but does not give enough detail. Has any one out there got one to
spare??!!. Failing that any drawings or photties that would help me
make one. There appears to be a double wedge arrangement for altering

I have just bought some items from Rotagrip (fordeight) and RDG
(rdgtools) on ebay and oddly have got character for character
identical feedback from them :

I'm fairly new to modelling and if anyone has any information, documenation or links on painting
plastic I would appreciate it a lot. Some of the questions I have are whats the difference between
acrylic and enamel? What is the best situation to use either one?
