I seem to remember reading somwhere (cant find it now, hence the
question...) that you shouldnt grind steel with diamond wheels,
something about carbon pickup? Does anyone know if this is true, and

I'm new to ER collets and have just bought one marked as 6-5 which I assume
should cover the range 6mm to 5mm. However while a 6mm silver steel rod fits
ok when the collet is out of the nut, it is an extremely tight fit when
mounted in the nut, so much so that I worry that trying ...

I'm in the process of building a myself a single sided post lift for a
motorcycle - just at the testing phase. It is almost complete, working
and I have done a quick test of it.

As related in my "Catalogue of Disasters" post, I'm recovering from a
particularly fraught (yet ultimately rewarding) build.
So, I'm feeling in need of a "quick and easy" project.  I saw this article
on Hyperscale.

I was wondering if anyone had experiences mixing the two brands of
acrylics or even with other brands.
