We're going to Italy next month. We're meeting a modeling friend there
and would like to bring him a good batch of decals as a gift.
If you have any 1/72 decals covering WWII multi-engined aircraft from
any country for really good prices would you please contact me.
Quickboost19 Apr 2007 23:45 GMT8
I'm wondering about a resin aircraft accessory site called "Modelers
Choice."  I found some really nice aircraft resin detail items on the
QuickBoost site (I've been told they are somehow associated with Eduard).
Anyway, the QuickBoost site showcases this nice resin stuff but you ...

I have been reading (and lurking) here for quite awhile trying to get

I have read a number of threads here about cementing and welding
plastic parts.

Kitech = Italeri?19 Apr 2007 14:49 GMT7
I picked up an "F/A-18A Hornet" by Kitech (08M-M347) from Kay-Bee Toys. Later, I got an "F-18
Hornet" by Testors/Italeri (681) -- both 1/72. Although arranged differently on the sprue trees,
the parts are seemingly identical. Are these the same kit by any chance? And are other ...
Strength of helicoils19 Apr 2007 13:11 GMT12
I have just been modifying a piece of equipment that is housed in
'furnace board', which is a thermal fibre re-inforced cement product
for high temperature applications. The fixings are 6 mm helicoils
about 9mm long, and the originals are set to be flush with the outer

Collet Chucks18 Apr 2007 18:14 GMT9
I've measured the eccentricity on the spindle (at the spigot) of my lathe

If I cut a new backplate register for a new collet chuck,  how true can I
get the chuck to run?  Should I expect better than 0.02mm TIR on a DTI,  say
Epoxy Glue and superglue no good brass styrene18 Apr 2007 16:54 GMT10
I am sure I have read that superglue is the way to stick brass to styrene,
or brass to itself, also araldite or similar epoxy glues. Using brand new
purchases I applied both correctly and both fail to bond if any pressure is
there trying to make the part come away from the styrene. ...
