Could some kind soul tell me how to calculate the steam requirements of a steam engine - let us say a twin cylinder, double acting, 2 in. bore x 2 in. stroke operating at 80 psi and 500 rpm- in lbs./hour? Thanks in advance for any knowledge offered.

I just did something to my 1/72 scale Gato sub today. The periscopes on the sub was very bad. They had some bows on both periscopes. What I did was, I bought me some 3/32X.014 aluminum rods on them and it turned out perfect. Now the periscopes are very straight.

never seen a guitar with a big hunk of metal over the bridge before. was told it helps the sustain....its the only reason I was attracted to this Gibson double cut copy.... Craig

I've got some titanium wire which might be 'commercially pure titanium' but could be 6:4 titanium (6% Aluminium, 4% vanadium). How can I confirm if it's the pure type or not? Thanks,

I appear to be in need of a couple of 7/8"od 3/8" id oil seals. All of my usual suspects, Arceurotrade, Cromwell, J&L, RS, Farnell, Chronos. seem to either not do oil seals or only do metric ones. I suspect that Wyko could get me some, but might get pissed off at such a small order. ...

I have both issues of the post war angle decked Lex. I was looking at the Midway with Gemini recovery version. Now I know the Lex is a Midway class but is the Midway kit the same as the Lex? are the aft gun tubs on the Midway like both Lexs?
