Steam Engine - Piston Ring materials08 May 2007 12:21 GMT7
I've made a cast iron piston which is 45mm diameter for use in low pressure
steam engine.  The bore is brass of some mix.
Can I use cast iron for the piston rings?   I don't want to sink really low
and use PTFE as it's a pre WWI model restoration.

I noticed some unfamiliar markings on ModelMaster Enamel paint bottles; < IK
>,  < G >,  and < NK>.  These markings were present on both glossy and flat
paints, FS and non FS paints.  Non Spectral paints are so identified but the

I read awhile ago that 21st Century toys were releasing a bunch of 1/18th
scale planes this year.
I always check Toys R Us but all they ever have are the Corsair, P-38,
