Workshop insurance19 May 2007 07:16 GMT2
I recently received my household insurance renewal and as you do,
looked around for a cheaper quote.
What surprised me was that most insurance companies limit the content
cover in garages and outbuildings to an amount which is considerabl
VF-3219 May 2007 00:18 GMT2
I realize this is not a modeling question per se, but I'm looking for some
help with the insignia for VF-32.  Might anyone have access to, or could
point me to, a graphic of the patch for VF-32 during the Korean War.  I have
seen many patches. pictures of the patch and insignia ...
Removing Bridgeport Table18 May 2007 11:25 GMT7
I need to move a belt head 1969 Bridgeport with a 42" table through a
doorway, and there isn't enough room to 'swing it round the door jam'
so the table will have to come off.
Has anyone done this recently and got a checklist of what order to do
Trig and Model rocketing17 May 2007 22:33 GMT6
I don't know what this site is really for but I wanted to know, what part of
trig interacts to model rocketing? I am doing a project for my algebra class.
I just wanted to know.

Hi rms'ers.  It's been a while but I finally found that I can access
this group in google groups!  Hurrah!
Anyway, I am building a 1/48 scale Wirbelwind using Tamiya's Pz. IV
ausf. J and the Gaso.Line wirbelwind turret.  Nice kits, even has

Can anyone offer advice on scratchbuilding?17 May 2007 12:31 GMT29
I'm planning on working on a model of one of the Ironclads from the
Hampton Roads battle, and I was hoping someone could give me some
tips and ideas on planning and designing the parts. I intend to build
it from wood mostly, but I've not any idea how to go about drawing up

OK guys I need opinions, thoughts, and expert advice (I hope).  What

AIM-9 Colors and markings16 May 2007 18:48 GMT12
Can someone help with AIM-9 colors and markings. Most kits seem to say
"white" but I'm seeing pictures that definitely appear gray, blue, etc.
What about color bands? I was hoping someone had a page on this but google
was not my friend.
Tamiya F-16: wth?16 May 2007 15:40 GMT12
Just what you'd expect, but the canopies--clear and smoked--have a
mold line running right down the middle. I know, "it's a simple matter
of sanding down and repolishing"--but what the hell's the point of
that?
Future over Bare Metal Foil16 May 2007 15:37 GMT1
I want to use bare metal foil on some trim areas of a model I'm
working on.  I'm not using it as a mask that will be removed, it will
be part of the finished model.  How does future react / look, over
time, if it is coated with future?
Klaiber surface grinder, anyone?16 May 2007 15:33 GMT19
I seem to remember that someone has posted a link to a manual Klaiber
surface-grinder (that one was specifically a t&c-grinder). So chances are,
that someone has that Krautish crap*).
If so, I have a very specific question about the adjustment strip of the

compound and differential indexing/hobbing16 May 2007 13:36 GMT7
Hi to the group.
This is my first post here and is a request for information.
I have the chance of getting a 127 gear cut if I can figure out the
correct differential settings for a commercial gear hobber.

OK, I know that there is a green light on one wing and a red light on
the other.  I will be darned if I can find a reference as to which is
