What is happening? (low message count)07 Jun 2007 23:33 GMT12
Boy, I know we have had discussions before on dropping message counts,
but it is really getting low lately. Used to be 200-300 messages per
day, then dropped to under a hundred.  Today there were 30 new posts,
and it seems like that is about average these days.
1950's Revell Antique Cars07 Jun 2007 20:19 GMT8
Can someone help with info on the Revell model antique car kits of the
mid-50's.  I recall buying these kits for like 59¢ back then, putting the
models together, and displying them on a wall shelf.  As I recall, they were
pretty detailed for the price and I seem to recall that ...
water-resistant, but hot water-soluble glue?07 Jun 2007 03:31 GMT7
Is there a kind of glue that would melt at water boiling point but
would be water-resistant at room temp? I need to glue together some
parts (glass and plastic) which I could later recycle by placing the
piece in boiling water and recovering the parts.
Stryker.......AFV Club or Tamiya06 Jun 2007 23:11 GMT3
Any opinions on which kit to choose and is there any birdcage or other
after market stuff available for either.  Thanks (:>
Tools: The Chopper06 Jun 2007 17:21 GMT3
Do any of you modelers have this gem from NWSL. I find it very useful.
However the fiberboard base has been gouged from use, a weakness I was
concerned about from the begining.
Being a bit inventive I have designed a better base for it using a sheet of
Calculating preload of spindle-bearings. How to?05 Jun 2007 22:17 GMT1
Gentlemen!
As some know, I'm building a Quorn-ish toolpost grinder. It works OK with
125mm disks and about 4000 RPM.
Now I made a bigger pulley to get 17000 UPM. The noise from the bearing is
Howto remove paint from metal05 Jun 2007 21:48 GMT7
I've been given a car bonnet that's beyond repair but has lots of good
mateial and I wondered what's the best way of getting the paint off ?
I tried emery but that'll take forever and the paint is as tough as
h*ll.  Does anyone know a decent remover that will work with modern
Argentinian Night Corsairs05 Jun 2007 21:03 GMT2
Jose Paliza asked me to post this question as he is having Internet access
problems:
Argentinian Night Corsairs had a tear shapped dorsal antenna behind the
cockpit. Do you know what type of antenna was it and where can I get one in

Herbert tool manuals05 Jun 2007 14:20 GMT5
Is there a source for Herbert manuals? Or is there anyone able and willing
to make a copy? I'm looking for the instruction & maintenance manual of the
200x500mm surface grinder.

1/32 Me262A Revell question.......05 Jun 2007 11:44 GMT1
I have the 1/32 Revell Me 262A kit with the 50mm nose Kannon. I was
wondering if there is a metal replacement cannon for this kit? Or
maybe a photo etch set for it.
Thanks

1/32 Czech Model Buffalo - What's with the Wing Joint?04 Jun 2007 23:08 GMT1
took a cursory look at the kit....did not see any pins, wing spar,
tabs, or anything to join the wing to the fuselage.  unless I am
missing something all I see are two smooth surfaces....reminds me of
the old AMT Enterprise space ship where you could get one nacelle
lebanon tanks?04 Jun 2007 20:50 GMT3
So... been reading about the current fighting in Lebanon... looked on
Google and got pictures of what looked like T-55 or so tanks. Pictures
of the fighting shows nothing clearly and most reporters think APC's
and such are tanks.  What are the Lenanese using?  The US and other
