Dual speed motor wiring12 Jun 2007 17:13 GMT3
I am rewiring a Mec Brown 415v dual speed cold saw, replacing the
speed change switch, and the Pedrazolli wiring diagram that came with
the new switch doesn't work !!! One speed works ok, the other growls
slowly backwards.
Still snapping drills12 Jun 2007 14:15 GMT34
I'm trying to drill a 1.2mm hole through a brass Crossman 2250 trigger
"edge on" following the black line: -

and I'm still busting drills.
CNC router (stepper motors in parallel)12 Jun 2007 12:56 GMT12
I'm slowly amassing the parts to buiild an 8' x 4' CNC router and most
of the designs I've seen have dual leadscrews on X.

Metrication Victory12 Jun 2007 12:28 GMT41
Just heard on  the 6 pm news that the EU have backed down on forcing the
UK to make selling anything by reference to imperial measures illegal by
2010. They said the present derogation will be extended indefinitely.
Don't you just love it when bloody bureaucrats get put back in ...
ME or MEW question12 Jun 2007 10:34 GMT4
Was there a recent (last 6 months or so) article about Centec milling
machines in either the Model Engineer or the Model Engineers Workshop?

I can't remember...

Making a Riviera Convertible11 Jun 2007 21:46 GMT7
I'm going to build a 1/25 scale '65 Riviera, but I wanna chop the roof off.
Has anyone ever attempted making a convertible out of a stock kit?
Any suggestions as to what type of material to recreate the folded up roof?

Shipping Charges from Hongkong11 Jun 2007 20:05 GMT15
The eBay seller  of 1/25 Tamiya tank models quotes US$40 to 50 to ship
to US-Canada.    Is this a reasonable S&H charge?    This will be more
than recent successful bid price of the model itself.
Do I detect a shill?11 Jun 2007 17:28 GMT10
I don't really care one way or the other, but this doesn't look entirely
kosher:-
