the key to understanding 2001 isn't the book which was written after the movie, but the short story kubrick read that inspired it. the stor is called the sentinnel and along with the star are the two best early clarke stories.

I would like to try my hand at some 1/35 armour models. But firstly, I'd like to hone my weathering skills and try out a few new techniques on some 1/72 armour models. Although I fully intend to complete each model, they will be pretty much glorified paint dummies.

I was at Hobby lobby the other day and finnally got my hands on a 1/72 Revell Gato kit. But all I did was look at the kit ... not buy it. ( Funny I delivered the first 53 ft. trailer load of these kits to Squadron months ago ). For some reason I can't get all excited
