I have to make a quantity of thickish washers from 30mm SS barstock, upto
now I have been using an Eclipse HSS blade (about 1.5x8mm) holder but
remember reading posts about part off tooling that uses carbide inserts.
I have looked in the J&L and WNT catalogues and can see 1.6mm ...

I have just bought a large Denbigh C milling machine.  It seems to be
in good condition, but it comes with no tools at all and I must admit
to being a beginner to milling.  Does anyone in Norfolk, - N.E. of

I cannot reconcile the helix angle engraved on a 0.7Mod Hob with my
calulations.
The hob in question is 25mm O/D (ex ArcEuro) and it states a helix angle

Picked this up today, its worm wheel hobbing attachment for a Myford
Done to the plans of Ivan Law in 1997
I intend to put it on ebay... if it will sell ..because it wont go on
my smart and brown because it dont have a drive take-off on my lathe.

I fitted a gearbox to my S7 about 20 years ago. This involves replacing
the changewheel guard with one of a different shape. The old cover has
been sitting in my garage ever since. It is painted in the old grey
Myford paint.

As per the subject - any ideas? I'm concerned that anything I cover it with
will just end up chewed and the idea of using grease/oil along doesn't
appeal to me since it'll be hard to get at once setup.....

Can anyone knock up some dural spacers for us?
We need 18 pces 32mm dia dural, 110mm long with M12 clearance hole all the way
through. 1mm chamfer on the OD and burr removed on the ID. Freecutting stainless
is an alternative, but we cannot use MS.
