Measured up the Taylor chuck jaws this afternoon.
The chuck is 41/2" outside diameter.
The no 3 jaw measures 17/8" along the clamping face ,

that I have bolted to a 12" x 15" sheet of masonite.  The "motor
mount" pegs only slide into the red frame, with nothing but gravity
holding it in place.

My Visible V8 sat around long enough for me to decide it needs to get
put up and out of the way permanently.  We bolted the Visible V8 frame

to a piece of masonite so it can be hung from the wall.  The ...

Just managed to destroy my drive belt on the bandsaw.  The problem is
that there is no makers name on the unit.  The belt in question is/was
about 15mm wide and approx 320mm circumference. [based on it being
this distance measured with a bit of string around the drives].

I'm  just planning my next project which calls for the use of High Density
Metal,  which has a specific gravity of 17 and is apparently tough to
machine.   It's used as counterbalance weights in a crankshaft web.    The
weights will be 6mm diameter bullets inserted into the crank ...

OK, am I nuts or is there a problem with the plastic on this kit and
regular model glue?  The stuff barely keeps the thing together...

I ran out of black and went to three Dollar Stores within a three mile
radius.  All of them were out of Black too and only one had White.
