At scrapyard just south of Banbury at the weekend and in a large skip
were a S&B model A or L (I think) toolroom lathe, a Harrison M series of

At the last model meeting someone mentioned using Lycra thread to rig
models. Obviously, being elastic, it has an advantage in staying taunt
and not snapping. I've found a few online build articles that mention
it, but no source. Anyone know where to find some? How thin is it?

I have 4 brass hollow balls that need parts soft soldered onto them
they are highly visible as they are part of a Harrison H1 type clock

I am building a vacuform kit- Rareplanes Curtis XFM-1.  The kit is
fine except for the props- a common problem with vacuform. It would
take a LOT of careful work to make the kit props work.
