Just taken delivery of one of the Shoba 6 inch rotary table kits, with

Corgi Aston Martin DB5 paint matching30 Oct 2007 22:57 GMT2
I was wondering if someone could give me
advice on finding or creating a reasonable match for the gold paint on the
corgi James Bond Aston Martin DB5. I picked up one in rather bad shape and
would like to try my hand at restoring it for my son.
SERT Gone?30 Oct 2007 21:49 GMT9
I hadn't been to the shop for a while,  but popped down on Saturday to
look for a small Jacobs chuck on a 2MT shank,  to find that the Sert

What is your purpose in life? What is the rationale behind our life?
Why do we live in this life? These questions frequently intrigue
people who try to find accurate answers.
People provide different answers to these questions. Some people
Bell YFM-1 Airacuda30 Oct 2007 16:08 GMT38
Is there a kit of that intriguing, yet totally unsuccessful,
twin-pusher "gun platform" from the late 1930s: the Bell
YFM-1 Airacuda?  I know there was a decent Rareplanes kit

risk, so I have been looking for a plug fitted with an indicator light that
would be visible when the overhead lights are turned off, but ...

RIP Air Enthusiast Magazine29 Oct 2007 20:48 GMT5
How sad. By far one of the very best aviaton magazines.
Does anybody have a good copy of #62 that they wouldn't mind parting
with? I have a damaged copy, but it's the only issue that I am
missing.

Lathe overhead gear29 Oct 2007 04:04 GMT9
Do people still use overhead gear on lathes for driving cutters on the
cross slide, or have small electric motors made this redundant?
The only "modern" pictures I can find of such equipment are associated
with ornamental turning lathes, plus a series of articles by JMW Wild
