Atomic City Mercury capsule17 Oct 2007 10:05 GMT1
I was wondering if anyone might provide some tips on painting the
astronaut figure included in this kit?  I have never attempted a
vinyl / polythene figure and I want to be cautious as to what might be
some pitfalls in working with this material.  Thanks

balsa wood model--glue?16 Oct 2007 14:48 GMT24
Hey I just got the 1903 wright flyer balsa wood model. I never built a
balsa wood model before and I keep reading everywhere that CA glue is
the preferred. Can I use regular super glue or krazy glue, since I
believe both are cyanoacrylate, or do I need some special formulation
VF-31 Phantoms with BIG Stars and Bars16 Oct 2007 13:55 GMT6
I am looking at Superscale sheet 72-880, and it shows a VF-31 F-4J (I
decided to Go Navy--the Air Force colors were giving me a headache!) and
it features another variety of markings anomaly.  Why are the national
insignia on this Phantom so large (the one's on the wings are ...
Mirage IIIE markings/colour question16 Oct 2007 09:42 GMT2
I am building the Italeri 1/48 Kit of the above, in the markings of EC 2/13.
French Air Force (silver overall).  The instructions show a black curved
shape on the intake sides and red decal for just behind the cockpit beside
this.  I feel the intake marking should be red also. ...
Torx sizes16 Oct 2007 07:59 GMT33
I have found more horrible Torx cap head screws - big ones for which I
don't have a key. I don't understand the sizing - the biggest I have
in my set is T40 - which are 6.5mm across between points - so how the
heck are they sized ? 40 what, gnats crotchets ? I suppose I will have

New 21stCT aircraft kits at Wal*Mart15 Oct 2007 05:32 GMT3
I was just at the Wal*Mart in Lakewood, CO and saw two new 21st
Century Toys aircraft model kits on the shelf.  They were the 1/32
Bf-109G-14 (#22106) and the Macchi C.205 Veltro (#22113).  I was a
little surprised to see these at Wal*Mart since I was under the

So I went in today to cruise one of our three stores a little & spied
the large QMII on clearance & snagged it for $32, still factory sealed &
not crushed.  Regular price was $90.  I think I may light it up a little
with fiber optic cable so it looks nice at night.
