RAF Jaguars in 72nd scale: best kit?30 Nov 2007 23:02 GMT7
Title says most of it.  I'm about to build the GR3, and need opinions as to
which 1/72nd scale kit is the best.  I'm up to a minimal conversion
effort....

Airfix HMS Victory 180th scale30 Nov 2007 22:57 GMT1
A guy I work with gave me this model but it is in progress. He didn't
have the instructions so I am looking for a copy. Thanks for the help,
if you can.

Ainjest30 Nov 2007 22:04 GMT3
Does anybody have any operating information on the Ainjest attachment?
If it's ready scanned that would be great but if you only have "hard
copy" then I'd borrow, copy and return it.
Thanks
Pegasus German Army Trucks30 Nov 2007 17:59 GMT6
I've recently seen a kit made by Pegasus who, I think, make model soldiers.
It contains two German trucks of WW2 in 1/72nd scale.  I gather that they're
"quick build" kits on the lines of Armorfast kits.  I'm curious about these
trucks as I haven't been able to identify them ...
Anyone have a Rapidor?30 Nov 2007 17:08 GMT17
I have just invested in an old Rapidor power hacksaw (one that takes
14" blades), and it is basically sound except for the spring loaded
lever assembly that engages the drive pulley. I am afraid the spring
broke so farmer joe got his welder out and made nasty repairs (really
Expected accuracy from home-built clock?30 Nov 2007 16:25 GMT4
I have just completed my first clock, a simple non-fusee, recoil
escapement, timepiece to a design by Colin Thorne. After the initial
euphoria that it actually worked, and ran for 8 days at a winding, I
have got down to regulating it.

These livery were discontinued on Singapore Airlines after they caused
flight SQ 006 to crash. Last model produced in 2000. Truly limited
edition.

Shame about the commentary/music, but the polygonal turning is pretty
cool.
Windshields29 Nov 2007 11:08 GMT2
Windshields
The windshield of almost all cars and trucks are made out of two
curved sheets of glass, with a layer of tough plastic laminate between
them. The plastic laminate serves to hold the two layers of glass
RAF Jaguar GR3's29 Nov 2007 07:04 GMT46
Were the gun muzzle troughs on these planes painted red, rusted natural
metal, or both?
Thanks

It's been a good 4 day weekend.  No shopping / No "Black
Friday" ........ Just 4 days to kick back, sleep in, and do some
building.  I finished 2 kits that were "in progress" and have a the
3rd (Atomic CIty Mercury Capsule) about 80 - 90% done.  With Christmas
Chinese scales28 Nov 2007 20:14 GMT8
Hi, does anyone know a schematic or a replacement pcb source of cheap 150mm
Chinese digital calipers? 0-button and pc-readout-port are not working. It
still measures; display, Inch/mm and On/Off are ok too.
Thanks,
Letter Punch Even Spacing - How?28 Nov 2007 16:30 GMT11
I am trying to stamp some miniature labels with 1mm (one mm) Letter Punches
but I can not get the spacing correct. Putting tape round the set (word)
gives ridiculous spacing between letters. Free hand is all over the place.
What's the trick?
