How Long Do Glues Hold  A Kit Together Until It Fails ???22 Nov 2007 15:52 GMT35
I was going to build up some larger resin figures with CA this winter
as the fumes from epoxy would not work to well inside the house. I
know CA does not have much shear strength so I'm not sure how well it
will hold up as the figures I have range from 1/5, 1/6 and 1/8 scale.

slightly OT - my innovative idea for record 405 style multi-planes     already done in 190520 Nov 2007 21:07 GMT6
Although unlikely to make me rich, I had thought up what I considered
to be a pretty neat idea for improving multi-planes such as Record's
405. These are woodwork tools for doing a variety of mouldings and
grooving jobs when fitted with various blades.  These planes suffer

Was it Revell Germany?  Came out a few years back, 6 or so engines?
Am sending the wife out with my list soon.  I was going to ask for the
old Hasegawa 1/72 B-47 or Emily but the reviews were less than
favorable....but I may add the Emily back on anyways....

British Grey Green Paint ?20 Nov 2007 09:14 GMT6
At least that is what the Revell 1/32 kit calls for to paint the wheel
wells, cockpit.   I've searched that name with no luck.
Is there paint in this shade?

Is Anti Fouling Red the Same as Hull Red?20 Nov 2007 04:15 GMT1
Is this "hull red" ??
Is it correct to have German, Japanese, British and USA WWI ships all
with the same color hull red?   Seems unlikely but I have never seen
country specific paint that would prove otherwise....
Kits Presently Available Priced through the Ceiling20 Nov 2007 03:31 GMT7
Has anyone noticed with the auction places or old kit stores( mostly
on the internet) That there holdings fall into three types. There are
geninuely hard to get things such as old science fiction. Kits that
still represent the best model of the type. Kits where one must decide

Making Oil filler plugs on small IC engine19 Nov 2007 19:22 GMT5
I need to make a couple of brass filer plugs,  the threaded part is 3mm
standard pitch.   One will screw into a 4mm ally plate and the other a 3m
ally plate.  How do I manage to thread right up to the shoulder?  I am
thinking of using a fibre washer to ease the problem,  but it ...
