| De-rating 3 phase inverters - final result | 19 Nov 2007 17:35 GMT | 20 |
I've now got this sorted. I now have a single phase 240-415 transformer feeding a 10HP 3phase 415volt inverter (the extra input is just linked in). It's *only just* happy starting the 3HP motor on my CVA lathe in top speed (2200rpm)

MI5 and the one of fascists are back. Better than a killfile is the slow, agonizing e-death of being ignored. As long as their tripe goes unanswered they go unfullfiled and on to

| Small Air Force Decals | 19 Nov 2007 08:39 GMT | 2 |
Since it is not too hard to come up with letters and numbers I always find my small air force ideas grounded for lack of 1/72 or 1/48 scale markings. Of course masking and painting present possibilities. But not all markings are easily rendered by simple masking. ( Not that

Hi guys! I just wanna share you something about my collection. Have you ever tried collecting scale model airplanes? I'm a model airplane collector since I was a child. And now I already have 2 children. Guess what? They also love aircraft models! And now I came through

With training film downloads, which should be useful for reference: http://www.zenoswarbirdvideos.com/ Where else are you going to get info on the Brewster Buccaneer? And yes, Ronald Reagan will once again try to shoot that P-40 down,

| scale accuracy of Matchbox 1/32 kits | 19 Nov 2007 04:13 GMT | 29 |
I have the Stuka, 109 and SBD. Are they at least close? Most people bang on MB kits, but I was actually fairly impressed with the detail, particularly on the SBD. But then I'm just a rank amateur, so I could be way off.

| Rudel's Stuka | 18 Nov 2007 23:50 GMT | 1 |
I'm building a 1/72 Ju-87G and I want to use the scheme for Rudel's "commander" aircraft with the yellow stripes on the wings. I'm building the ancient Frog kit (I'm one of those guys) and I'm having fun, but sources that I have looked at all disagree on the layout of the ...

| Google Groups Killfile? | 18 Nov 2007 14:37 GMT | 5 |
I don't miss much about Compuserve USENET. However, I was easily able to kill file cross posting and other individuals who don't care or are afraid to focus his or her debate in something such as alt.politics. Am I missing a feature of Google Groups that will let me block these

| Academy 1/72 B-24's How Old Are They ? | 18 Nov 2007 06:13 GMT | 2 |
Saw a few versions at my local shop. Some come with posters of the great box art. Anyone know how old the kits are? Wondering if the great nose art decals that caught my eye will be usable..

I haven;t asked this in a while because I only had use of one hand to model with. Now that I see some prospect of working with both hands I want to check and see if the Baltimore IPMS is still meeting every second Tuesday at the Towson National Guard Armory?

| questions about Clark CL500M lathe/miller | 17 Nov 2007 18:13 GMT | 2 |
I have recently brought a Clark CL500M combined lathe and miller (yes I realise it has some limitations, but its only for light use in my garage..) my problem is that it is in bits! I have managed to put it all together, although realigning it will be fun as the head stock was ...
