I am building a Kamps Turbine from plans and have used up my supply of
Stainless Steel shim .I have tried the tel- number on the GTBA website but
keep being told it does  not exist anybody have another number.

I have a new to me Victorial U2 Miller which came with a universal
(rack milling ) head. It runs well and is quiet, I then found a
standard vertical head which has the advantage of taking 40 int
tooling( as to 30 int)  and is more rigid for heavy work,

I'm looking for cheapish tooling for attaching semi-tubular rivets.
They're to be used to join spring steel to polycarbonate or similar
clear sheet, and will usually be 1/8 diameter with a nickel plated

I know this is`nt model engineering but it`s to do with my workshop.
I`m thinking of converting a propane bottle into a wood burning stove
for my workshop. I need to take off the gas valve/tap on the top of
the bottle so  I can fill the bottle with water to get rid of any gas

Anybody know sources for these kits, or if they are available at all. Some

unfortunately a hard disk problem destroyed my records. I'm particularly

Been working on the crossfeed on the Student.  Took it apart and studied the
nut, which is about 40mm long and made of what seems to be bronze, it fits
in a groove on the underside of the cross-slide, where it's retained by a
hollow bolt (which I guess originally had a grease or oil ...

in buildings? I need to insulate a building (roof & walls) that will
