Black or Rubber Paint For Tank Bogies ??24 Feb 2008 18:49 GMT4
Rubber paint seems to look a lot more accurate, black looks too clean,
or does the rubber on tank bogies stay black?
Rubber paint has a mix of grey and brown added which looks a lot more
realistic.

Clarkson collet needed24 Feb 2008 10:25 GMT2
I am looking for a 10mm Clarkson type S collet. If anyone has one
spare I can swap with a 3/8th type S (Well it appears to be a 3/8th
but its very tight up the hole) or a 10mm type C in perfect condition.

Ok, Etch-heads...24 Feb 2008 08:07 GMT3
This finally looks like an etch folding tool that is both useful AND
priced more like something I'd be willing to pay - around $18 US:

Lindberg not bowing to PC apparently!24 Feb 2008 04:28 GMT6
I just got in Lindberg's re-issue of their Civil War Confederate Horse
Team. Remember the PC BS that went on a while back over the Dukes of
Hazzrd "Gen. Lee" kit re-issue & the Confederate flag? Well, not only
does the box for this kit say "Confederate" but it also has

A B-2 was reported to have crashed today in Guam.  Both pilots safely
ejected.  $1.2 billion plane looks to be a total loss.

Chronos purchases from overseas23 Feb 2008 10:45 GMT19
Just thought I would tell you guys about my mistake - a few months ago
my wife went to see her parents in the UK
(from South Africa) I seized the opportunity and ordered a load from
Chronos and other suppliers for her to bring back.
drilling holes in soft open-cell foam23 Feb 2008 08:30 GMT16
Does anyone have an advice on how to drill neat round holes in soft
open-cell foam/sponge (polyurethane)? I am trying to make ~1/4" holes
in a ~2 inch thick sponge. I tried regular drills (very ugly-looking
results, or the foam just gets wrapped around the drill) and an old
Machining A Flywheel23 Feb 2008 08:13 GMT23
Since you are all bored -
PolyModels have sent me a very nice casting,  a 9 and a bit inch flywheel
for my stationary steam engine project (none of that Stuart Turner wimp
stuff here).   I don't want to turn a nice casting into scrap so would
Airfix GMC Truck Instructions23 Feb 2008 08:08 GMT12
I recently bought an Airfix 1/72 GMC 2.5 Ton Truck kit without decals or
instructions.  Does anyone have a copy of the instructions that they could
scan for me?  I thought that it would be pretty straightforward but there
are chassis parts that I can't sort out.
