| Hot air gun / blow torch | 21 Mar 2008 23:19 GMT | 6 |
Slightly at a tangent to Model Engineering but worth a try. I need a hot air gun to shrink some 'heat shrink' onto some cables. No power available. Not feasible to use a genny. I thought of adapting a gas blowtorch to provide heat at the nozzle instead of a

| Horse-drawn US Army Artillery | 21 Mar 2008 10:52 GMT | 11 |
Hi all. I was copying a movie from 1934 this morning. Walter Huston starred in "Keep 'em Rolling", a story, based on a factual history of the 16th Field Artillery during the First World War. In fact the movies used the services of the members of the 16th, stationed at Fort

| It just doesn't seem fair | 20 Mar 2008 04:23 GMT | 7 |
Went to the local quarterly kit collectors show yesterday. The wife ended up picking out three kits (for me to build) & I only got one. It's been like this for quite a few shows now. I think she likes the show better than me. I'll never get rid of my stack. Life's tough.
