How to change the max output frequency on a Magnetek GPD503 inverter?30 Apr 2008 22:06 GMT2
With "factory defaults" the highest frequency this will allow me to set
is 60Hz and I can't find how to change it. On other inverter
manufacturer's I've played with its been fairly easy to find the right
parameter, but not this one.

Square 'Doweling' source?30 Apr 2008 17:18 GMT8
I'm struggling to find an online source for lengths of about 6mm sided
square cross section wood.
It just needs to be strong enough to build a box frame for tacking warped
3mm plywood to.

You know, the black kind that you put into the ends of bits of box-section
when molishing e.g. a garden gate or suchlike, to fill up the hole in a tidy
manner.

Steel/bronze bearing29 Apr 2008 19:27 GMT8
What sort of surfaces are best for steel/bronze bearings?
I thought to polish the steel shaft as high as I can (shiny!), but leave
the bronze bearings as-bored, ie a little groovy. The bearings compress,
so after wearing in I can adjust them back.

Clarkson MkI Cutter Grinder29 Apr 2008 11:23 GMT6
I have recently become the proud owner of a Clarkson Mk1 cutter
grinder.  It is in good shape but was very dirty.  I have successfully
cleaned it up but would like some advice on lubrication.
When I dismantled it all the slides were lubricated with grease.
Damn all those spammers29 Apr 2008 08:20 GMT10
This NG is drowning in spam lately.
As the spammers use different adresses all the time it's no use killfiling
them.
Anyone got any sugestions to get rid of this spam? I use XNews.
Expanded Polystyrene slabs up for grabs29 Apr 2008 07:19 GMT2
I have dismantled a cold store room (30' x 9') that was insulated with
3" thick slabs of expanded polystyrene glued into wooden frames. So if
anyone wants / needs several hundred square foot of 3" insulation they
may willingly have it if they can collect fairly quickly to save it
Any idea how to block an organisation in Outlook Express?29 Apr 2008 00:51 GMT1
I have blocked the sender http://groups.google.com and also an auto-delete
on posts with 'WATCH' in the title.
This has cleared most but I still get the old few which have
http:/groups.google.com as the organization.

1/8" Gas/BSP fittings28 Apr 2008 19:23 GMT2
We are trying to fix a few niggles on an old Onan water-cooled generator, and
one of the last jobs is sorting out the drain tap.
When we got it, there was a bolt stuffed up inside the radiator drain tube
extension, but it should have a drain tap in there.
Harrogate to the south28 Apr 2008 14:42 GMT6
Is anybody able to provide transport for something from the Harrogate
show down to London/Essex/Suffolk?
The item is about 14"x14"x18" and weighs 20-30kg (nice use of mixed
units there).
