I've been out of pocket for a while.  when I opened up RMS tonight about
half the posts were ads for knock-off sneakers, watches, etc.  What's up
with all this crap?  Where'd it come from?
Enamel paint removal from plastic models26 Apr 2008 07:58 GMT15
A while ago, someone posted a question about removing paint from plastic
models. I read the thread, but at the time, I didn't think I would need
the info, so it just got placed in a part of my brain that I can't find
the map for.
Peter's nylon and news server25 Apr 2008 21:19 GMT1
A bit of a test, I've had nothing through for 2 days on the onetel
server, just checked on Garble groups & seen Peter's request.
I've forgotten my signon details so I'll reply here & see whether it
turns up on Garble.

Do any of you have 6 - 8 .50 cal machine guns from a busted 1/32
aircraft or a 1/32 aircraft you converted to a racer you would like to
part with?
I need the barrels and the bodies not just the barrels if at all

I picked this model up at the flea market because it
was cheap, and I thought kind of cute. All the text
are in japanese. I tried to do some research on it
and didn't come up with anything. It comes with a

Perpetual Wax Chuck25 Apr 2008 13:49 GMT9
Turned up a slitting saw arbor today. Turned up the Shank part no
problem and the Clamp washer. How to face the clamp washer after
parting off? No problem says I a bit of "Poundland" 20 for a quid
superglue on the face. Glued it, faced and angled it, coned it 16mm
Switched Two or Three Speed Three Phase Motor25 Apr 2008 11:02 GMT10
Does anyone know the internal connections for a three speed, three
phase motor? I do not mean a motor driven by an inverter.
I'm guessing that it's done by effectively changing the number of
poles the motor 'sees', but I don't _know_ and haven't been able to

10mm Thick Nylon Disc, 350mm Dia required25 Apr 2008 01:40 GMT18
Has anyone got materials and facilities to knock up this for me please?
Needs a 30mm clearance hole in the middle as well.
11mm or 12mm thick also acceptable.
It's for me personally, not for the company :-))
Warco Formit / 3in1 Metal Formers24 Apr 2008 19:09 GMT2
Are the Warco Formits any good?
I'm needing a set of slip rolls at least 22" wide to make up an exhaust, and
the Formit is looking very tempting to save the hassle of building a set
from scratch.
