Alright: Is it green or is it blue?
On-line images show both.
Information? Opinions? Jeers?

I don't suppose that anyone has a manual for a Mimik UT tracer that I
could borrow to copy?
Thanks

Sea Vixen - what a tease!31 May 2008 18:07 GMT5
The Xtrakits Sea Vixen is getting closer, but they are really teasing us.  A
few weeks ago they put the boxart up on the page with a bit of blurb saying
it was due in "early May".  Well now it's late May and it's not yet here,
but Hannants have put up pictures of the box contents ...
Pencil sharpener31 May 2008 10:54 GMT12
I needed a pencil sharpener today.  I already have one but it's only good
for ordinary pencils.  I have a thick silver pencil - more of a crayon
really - that I use for weathering the edges of panel lines on models and it
is too big to fit in the sharpener. So, as I was passing ...
Return to RMS31 May 2008 10:40 GMT7
My wife incautiously signed us up for a new ISP and I no longer have a
Usenet account.  It's taken me a few weeks to discover that I can get
back to RMS via Google Groups!  It's surprising how much I've missed
you lot.
hydraulic /pneumatic cylinders31 May 2008 00:14 GMT5
can anyone point me in the right direction?.... I want to make a couple of
small ones, running 8-10 bar max to operate the undercarriage on an RC
'plane. Are there any designs around? Size needs to be approx. 20mm bore,
50mm stroke, double acting, single rod.
Laser Centre Finder / Edge Finder30 May 2008 12:49 GMT10
I treated myself to one of these last week,  but I'm not "getting it".
From the web materials, I expected it to produce one very small red dot,  ie
about 0.05mm ish.  What I actually got when I switched it on was quite a
large "splodge" which was made up of some laser sparkle and ...
Tangential/Diamond tool holders.30 May 2008 05:30 GMT8
Stumbled across these as the result of another thread on turning tools
generally - for example this sort of thing:

Consolidated TBY Seawolf: any injection-molded?30 May 2008 01:35 GMT1
I have been reading about this little-known WW II aircraft that was a competitor to the TBF/M
family, and was actually in limited Fleet service, though for various reasons never made a
combat deployment (production shifting from Vought to Consolidated, a 18-month delay in
getting ...
Tyzacks & Sons Lathe29 May 2008 22:33 GMT14
I am looking for a manual for a Tyzack & Sons lathe.
I cannot find a model number.
However it has a 4 inch chuck, 6 inch face plate & approx 12 inches between
centres.
rotary table recommendation29 May 2008 20:23 GMT12
I need a new 6 inch rotary table and have seen the Vertex offering at a
recent show. Also looking at one from Arc Eurotrade which is a bit
dearer but looks better made. Any experience with these ?
There's also the second hand option but ex-industrial ones all tend to
Cleaning 3-jaw chuck29 May 2008 05:19 GMT1
I've gotten some abrasives in my good 3-jaw chuck, and want to clean it out.
Any suggestions? Both water- and oil soluble- abrasives, unfortunately.
Also, how do you dismantle a 3-jaw chuck?
