the tubular bit (left, in 2 parts, as it happens) fits over the pipe,
leaving about 5mm out the tapered end, the mandrel goes in the end of the

I personally could care less if any of my kits had moving parts.  how
many of us still spin props, drop bombs with that little lever
sticking out of the old 1/48 Monogram kits, etc..
 Just venting as it seems like this kit was made a lot more

In the process of making Watch screws (14BA and smaller) from carbon
steel, I have been experimenting with slitting them.  Normally I use a
screw head file, but this can be somewhat time consuming so I tried a
slitting saw in the lathe.  I mount the screw in a tapped brass block

A few months ago ferrous scrap was about 4p a kilo and hardly worth selling.

I think it was Hull SMEE had a nice Myford with nice looking DRO. I
have had a look at their website and can't find much on it. Can anyone
point me at info for installing DRO on an old super 7.

Some of us use nylon monofilament thread for rigging. One of the neat
features is that you can apply heat to it after it is fastened in
place, and it will shrink and become more taut.

Having just bought the Beaver turret mill, I am now on the lookout for some
30Int tooling for it. I have loads of 40Int for the A&S mills (1ES and 2ES) but
sod's law says I have to get a vertical with something different!
